Paavo Olavi Lonkila (born January 11, 1923 in Kiuruvesi ; † September 22, 2017 ibid) was a Finnish cross-country skier who started in the 1940s and 1950s.

Lonkila, who started for Kiuruveden January, won second place over 18 km at the Lahti Ski Games in 1949 . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lake Placid in 1950 , he won the silver medal with the relay. He also finished fifth there in the 18 km run. In March 1950 he came third in the 18 km run at the Lahti Ski Games. The following year he won the 18 km run at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival and finished second over 18 km at the Lahti Ski Games. At the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 , he won the bronze medal over 18 km and the gold medal with the relay. At Finnish championships he was twice third (1952, 1955) and twice second (1949, 1950) over 18 km.
