Set "Tommy" Limby (born September 5, 1947 in Gåxsjö , Jämtland , † January 13, 2008 in Orsa , Dalarna ) was a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Limby, who started for the Orsa IF , finished second in 1973 and eighth in the Wasalauf in 1974 . At the Swedish championships in 1974 he won with the relay. At the 1975 Wasalauf he came in sixth place. He also reached second place with the relay at the Svenska Skidspelen in 1972 and 1976. At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck he took 23rd place over 15 km, 15th place over 30 km and eighth place over 50 km. In the same and the following year he came in third place at the Wasalauf. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1978 , he was world champion with the relay alongside Sven-Åke Lundbäck , Christer Johansson and Thomas Magnusson . He also achieved tenth place over 30 km. In January 2008, died of a Limby after a long illness with cancer .
