Per-Erik Hedlund (born April 18, 1897 in Särnaheden , Dalarnas län ; † February 12, 1975 in Särna , Älvdalen municipality ) was a Swedish cross-country skier . He was called "Särna-Hedlund".

Career

Hedlund, who started for the Särna SK and the Malungs IF , was sixth over 18 km at the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix . At the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , he won the gold medal in the 50 km race. For this achievement he was honored with the Svenska Dagbladet gold medal. In addition, like four years earlier, he achieved sixth place over 18 km. At the World Championships in 1933 he was also able to win gold with the relay. He was also able to win the legendary Wasalauf twice, namely in 1926 and 1928. In Swedish championships he won twice over 15 km (1926, 1927), once over 30 km (1932) and six times over 50 km (1921-1923, 1925, 1926, 1929).
