John Halvar Theofron Lindgren (born November 8, 1899 in Lycksele ; † January 30, 1990 ibid) was a Swedish cross-country skier who achieved great success, especially in the 1920s.

Lindgren won the Wasalauf in 1924 , in 1925 he was second and in 1926 third. As early as 1923 he took a good sixth place. At the World Ski Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1927 , he was world champion both over 18 km and over 50 km. In the same year he took sixth place at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival . At the World Championships in Oslo in 1930 he came seventh on both winning routes in 1927. Two years later he finished eighth on the long distance at the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid .

From 1920 to 1937 Lindgren competed in the Swedish championships . There he won over 30 km once (1923) and three times over 50 km (1928, 1930, 1933). From 1919 to 1925 he started for IFK Umeå and since 1926 for Lycksele IF .
