Wladimir Semjonowitsch Kusin ( Russian Владимир Семёнович Кузин ; born July 15, 1930 in Lamposchna , Arkhangelsk Oblast , † October 5, 2007 in Moscow ) was a Russian cross-country skier who started for the Soviet Union during the 1950s .

Career

Kusin won the silver medal with the relay and the gold medal over 30 km and 50 km at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 1954 . At the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , he was Olympic champion with the Soviet relay. He also achieved tenth place over 15 km and fifth place over 30 km. In 1957, Cusin received the Order of Lenin . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1958 , he finished 13th over 30 km. At Soviet championships he won over 18 km in 1953 and over 15 km in 1958.
