Anders Aukland (born September 12, 1972 in Tønsberg ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Anders Aukland won silver over 30 km classic at the 2003 World Cup and silver over 50 km classic at the 2005 World Cup in Oberstdorf . He won six World Cups by February 2005. In 2004 he won the traditional Wasalauf 90 kilometers. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , Aukland was Olympic champion with the relay.

Anders Aukland won Norwegian championship titles in cross-country skiing as well as in athletics , in duathlon and winter triathlon . He was also active in dog sledding races . In 2001 he was awarded the Egebergs Ærespris for his versatility .

His brother is the skier Jørgen Aukland . In 2008 the pair of brothers achieved two double successes when they took the first two places in the Wasalauf (Jørgen before Anders) and the Marcialonga (Anders before Jørgen).
