Wladimir Wassiljewitsch Nikitin ( Russian Владимир Васильевич Никитин ; born July 14, 1959 in Kozino , Udmurtia ) is a former cross-country skier who started for the Soviet Union .

Nikitin took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships at Holmenkollen in Oslo in 1982 . There he won the silver medal in the relay competition with his teammates Oleksandr Batjuk , Juri Burlakow and Alexander Sawjalow . In the individual race over 30 kilometers he finished eighth. The following World Cup season 1982/83 finished Nikitin in eighth place. In 1984 he competed at the Winter Olympics in Sarajevo in individual races over 15 kilometers and in the relay. In the individual he reached fifth place. In the relay race he won silver again together with Batjuk, Zavyalov and Nikolai Simjatow . At the 1985 Winter Universiade in Belluno and the 1987 Winter Universiade in Štrbské Pleso , he won the gold medal over 15 km and 30 km. In Soviet championships he won twice with the relay (1981, 1984) and twice over 15 km (1982, 1985).
