Karl-Åke Asph (born February 2, 1939 in Avesta ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Asph, who started for the IFK Mora , won the gold medal at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck together with Sixten Jernberg , Janne Stefansson and Assar Rönnlund in the relay. The following year he took third place with the relay at the Svenska Skidspelen in Falun . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1966 , he was fourth with the relay. In February 1967 he finished fourth at the Lahti Ski Games in the 15 km race. His best place in the Wasalaufhe reached in 1968 with the seventh place. At Swedish championships he was three times champion with the relay of IFK Mora (1963, 1966, 1968).

After his career, Asph worked as a physical education teacher in Mora .
