Sven Ludvig "Uttern" Utterström (born May 16, 1901 in Boden ; † May 7, 1979 there ) was a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Utterström, who started for the Bodens BK , finished fifth in 1924 and won the Wasalauf in 1925 . In 1926 and 1928 he was second and in 1927 fifth in the Wasalauf. At the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , he finished ninth over 18 km. The following year he won the 50 km run at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival and came second in the 50 km race at the Lahti Ski Games . He was then honored with the Svenska Dagbladet gold medal. At the Nordic World Championships in Oslo in 1930 , he won the gold medal over 50 km. He also achieved ninth place over 17 km. At the 1932 Winter Olympics , he came sixth in the 50 km run and won the gold medal over 18 km. In the following year he won the silver medal over 50 km and the gold medal with the relay at the Nordic World Championships in Innsbruck in 1933 . He was also fifth over 18 km. At Swedish championships he was four times champion over 30 km (1922, 1928, 1930, 1933).
