Ole Stenen (born August 29, 1903 in Øyer , † April 23, 1975 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian skier.

Stensen competed for the club in his hometown, the Øyer Idrettslag, in the disciplines of cross-country skiing , Nordic combined and military patrol running . He was about 1.70 m tall and was a postman by profession .
In 1931, Stenen and his compatriot Hans Vinjarengen from Nordre Land IL were honored with the Holmenkollen Medal for his competitive achievements .

Competition successes

The first major title of his sports career Stenen achieved with victory in the Norwegian Championship of Nordic Combined in 1928. He was again able to get the Norwegian championship title in this discipline in 1931, in the discipline of 30 km cross-country skiing in 1929. At the Olympic At the 1928 Winter Games in St. Moritz , he was a member of the Norwegian winning team in the military patrol demonstration competition . In 1929, he scored at the Nordic World Ski Championships in the Nordic combined individual (NH / 18 km) in second place and took the Nordic World Ski Championships 1931 in cross-country skiing on the 50-km distance the world title. He also won the 50 km cross-country competition at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 1931 . In 1932 he won the silver medal in the Nordic combined at the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid and achieved fourth place in the Nordic combined individual (normal hill / 18 km) at the 11th  Nordic World Ski Championships in Sollefteå in 1934 .
