Nils-Joel Englund (born April 7, 1907 in Vittjärv , municipality of Boden ; † June 22, 1995 in Tierp ) was a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Englund, who competed for Bodens BK and Hudiksvalls IF , won the 18 km gold medal at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Innsbruck in 1933 and the relay team. The following year he won the bronze medal with the relay and the silver medal over 50 km at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sollefteå in 1934 . At the Swedish championships in 1934 he won over 50 km. In 1935 he became world champion over 50 km at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Vysoké Tatry . He also won bronze with the relay. At the Olympic Winter Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1936 , he won the bronze medal over 50 km. At the Swedish Championships in 1937 he won the relay from Hudiksvalls IF.
