Oleksandr Mychajlowytsch Batjuk ( Ukrainian Олександр Михайлович Батюк ; born January 14, 1960 in Chernihiv , Chernihiv Oblast ) is a former Ukrainian cross-country skier who started for the Soviet Union .

Batjuk made his international debut in 1980 at the European Junior Championships, where he won bronze in the individual competition over 15 kilometers and gold in the relay. He won all other international medals in relay competitions. In 1982 he won gold with Vladimir Nikitin , Juri Burlakow and Alexander Sawjalow at the Nordic World Ski Championships at Holmenkollen in Oslo . In the individual competitions over 15 and 50 kilometers, he finished fifth and fourth. In 1983 he became the Soviet champion with the relay. A year later, Batjuk took part in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . Over 15 and 50 kilometers, he was 10th and 16th. With his relay partners Sawjalow, Nikitin and Nikolai Simjatow he won silver over 4 × 10 kilometers. In 1985 Batjuk became national champion over 15 kilometers. Again he won the season silver at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1987 together with Vladimir Smirnov , Mikhail Devyatjarow and Vladimir Sachnow ; over 15 kilometers he finished eighth. His last international competition was the 15 km competition at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . He finished this as 15th.

After the end of his active career, Batjuk worked as a trainer in cross-country skiing, later also as the national trainer of Ukraine . Batjuk's son of the same name, Oleksandr Batjuk, is active as a biathlete.
