Pekka Niemi (born November 14, 1909 in Alapaakkola , † December 21, 1993 in Kittilä ) was a Finnish cross-country skier .

Niemi, who started for the Kittilä Urheilijat and the Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseuraa , won the bronze medal over 18 km at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . He also achieved eighth place over 50 km there. A year later he became world champion over the 50 kilometers at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Chamonix in 1937 and won bronze over 18 km and silver with the relay. In 1937, 1939 and 1941 he won the 50 km run in Ounasvaara . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1938 , he ran tenth over 18 km and fourth over 50 km. In March 1938 he won the Holmenkollen Ski Festival over 50 km. In the following year he came at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1939 in Zakopane on the sixth place over 18 km and on the fifth place over 50 km and in the Lahti Ski Games on the second place over 50 km.
