Vanguard is a DJ and producer duo in the electronic music scene and consists of the producers Axel Bartsch and Asem Shama, who come from Hanover. In 1997 Klaus Löschner , better known as DJ Good Groove , listened to a demo cassette of the producer duo, from which the first track March on Washington emerged on the Frisbee Tracks label .
Career
Vanguard was best known in 2002 with the release of the track Flash , a bootleg with original Queen vocals . With the support of DJs like Timo Maas and Carl Cox , the track became a club hit. In 2003 this remix was officially released under the name "Queen + Vanguard"; it reached number 15 in the British and number 17 in the German singles charts. The track Flash also ran on the music channel VIVA and was voted one of the best techno tracks of 2002 in Groove magazine . Since then, Vanguard have been represented as a live act at many techno events in Europe and Japan . In 2003 the remix of the Palazzo farewell record "Tube Tech - The End" , originally by The Doors, followed .
