Vania Kohli

Vania Kohli (born September 12, 1959 ) is a Swiss politician ( BDP ).

Life

She attended schools in Bern from 1965 to 1979, where she obtained a type C Matura . From 1979 to 1980 she attended the Dr. Rischik and graduated with a diploma as assistant director. Then she studied from 1980 to 1983 at the University of Bern for secondary teaching and received the patent as a secondary teacher phil. I. Kohli studied law at the University of Bern from 1983 to 1990 and passed her state examination as an advocate . During this time she worked from 1985 to 1989 in the secretariat of the Foreigners Commission of the City of Bern. From 1993 to 1996 she worked as a law teacher at the vocational, technical and advanced training school in Bern. From 1995 to 1999 she was a scientific officer in the legal service of the General Secretariat of the Federal Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communication. Since 1999 she has been working for the law firm Bolla & Kohli, which has been operating under the name Advokatur Kohli since 2006.

Since June 1, 2010 she has been a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern for the constituency of Bern. Furthermore, she was a member of the city council of Bern and was city council president in 2011. In early 2012 she resigned from the city council. Kohli is a member of the board of the BDP City of Bern, as well as that of the BDP Canton of Bern.

Kohli is married and has two sons. In 2012, her older son Philip replaced her on the city council of Bern.
