Vasilios Konstantinou ( Greek Βασίλης Κωνσταντίνου , born November 19, 1947 ) is a former Greek football goalkeeper .

Player career

Konstantinou began his career as a youth player from Panathinaikos Athens . In 1964 as a 17-year-old he was accepted into the first team's squad and was then a substitute goalkeeper behind Panagiotis Ikonomopoulos until 1974. From then on, Konstantinou was the goalkeeper of the Greens. He held this position until joining OFI Crete in 1983. During his time at Panathinaikos, he won the Greek championship five times and the Greek Cup four times. He stayed in Crete for only one year and ended his career in 1984.

Internationally, Konstantinou played 28 times for the Greek national team . He took part in the 1980 European Football Championship in Italy and retired with the team as bottom group in the preliminary round. He was on the pitch in two games.
