life and work
Doropoulos moved to Paris with his mother in 1965 , he studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts , first painting (1965–1967) and then sculpture (1967–1972). His works were shown in the Grand Palais as early as 1969 . During this time he created numerous medals for the Paris mint, the Hôtel de la Monnaie .
In 1989 he was commissioned by the Greek state to design a reconciliation monument to commemorate the end of the Greek civil war . For this he created the 8 meter high bronze sculpture “Symfiliosi”.
