The Vaskivesi is a lake in the municipality of Virrat in the Finnish countryside of Pirkanmaa .
Together with Visuvesi to the southeast, it forms a 46.22 km² lake. The lake is at a height of 96.1 m. It is fed by the outflow from Lake Toisvesi to the north . It flows east to Tarjanne and forms the northern end of a chain of lakes that extends to Näsijärvi . The Kaivoskannan kanava canal system runs through this chain of lakes and connects Virrat in the north with Tampere in the south.
