The Vastenjaure is next to the Virihaure the second large lake in the Swedish Padjelanta National Park . It has an area of 89 km² and is 547 m above sea level. The lake is fed by the outflow of the Virihaure. Another important tributary is the Låddejåkkå , which rises in the Sarek National Park . The Vuojatätno drains the Vastenjaure towards the Akkajaure . Apart from a small Sami summer settlement, there are no places on the lake.
