Wassyl Archypenko

Vasyl Albertowytsch Archypenko ( Ukrainian Василь Альбертович Архипенко ., English transcription Vasyl Arkhypenko, Russian Василий Альбертович Архипенко - Vasily exhilarated Archipenko - Vasiliy Arkhipenko * 28. January 1957 in Mykolaivs'ka , Donetsk Oblast ) is a former Ukrainian hurdler , who for the Soviet Union launched and whose special route was the 400 meter distance .

Athletic career

In 1978 he won bronze at the European Athletics Championships in Prague . He won silver at the Universiade in 1979 and at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.

He finished fourth at the European Championship in Athens in 1982 .

From 1977 to 1981 he was Soviet champion five times in a row. He set his best time of 48.34 s on August 4, 1979 in Turin .
