Vaughn Joseph Taylor (born March 9, 1976 in Roanoke , Virginia ) is an American professional golfer of the PGA TOUR .
He grew up in Augusta , Georgia and played as an amateur with success for Augusta State University .
Taylor became a professional golfer in 1999 and carefully built his career through the third-tier Hooters Tour and the second tier tournament series, the Nationwide Tour .
With these valuable experiences, Taylor began to play on the great North American PGA TOUR in 2004 . In his first season he won the Reno-Tahoe Open , which he repeated the following year. With further excellent placements, Taylor qualified for the Ryder Cup Team of the USA in 2006.
