Anton Fey

Anton Fey (born November 22, 1916 in Duisburg , † May 2, 1997 in Düsseldorf ) was a German entrepreneur and association official.

Fey was born in Duisburg as the son of the manufacturer Heinrich Fey and his wife Wilhelmine. After attending the Steinbart grammar school in Duisburg, he did his labor service and was then called up for military service. He experienced the Second World War as a tank pioneer in France , Scandinavia and Russia .

At the end of the war he left the military as an officer and joined the Lohengrin works as a partner, which he successfully expanded into a leading regional food wholesaler. He founded the retail chain Vertriebsgemeinschaft (VeGe) , of which he was president for many years and was a member of the executive committee of the VDN, the lobby group for the food wholesaling industry. In August 1968 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his successful efforts to provide for the population .
