Veliki Alan is a pass in the Northern Velebit National Park in Croatia . It is located at the highest point on the road from the port town of Jablanac on the Adriatic to Štirovača inland.
The pass is 1,406 meters high and on its west side there is a cable car to the sea, which is currently out of order and is in ruins.
