Jablanac is a village in Croatia on the Adriatic Sea at the foot of Velebit . It is located opposite the island of Rab .

There was a ferry port in the village that connected the mainland with the island of Rab until July 3, 2012 .

In the village there is a hotel (Ablana, out of service since 2011), a harbor café (Ruža) and a hotel guesthouse (Lux).

In the village there is the lowest mountain hut in Europe, which is 20 m above sea level.

The Zavratnica Bay is about 15 minutes' walk from Jablanac . The North Velebit National Park is located above Jablanac .

The Jablanac concentration camp was located in Jablanac during the Second World War . It was one of the concentration camps under the rule of the Croatian Ustaše . The prisoners were mainly Serbs , Jews and Roma .
