Venade is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Caminha . The community had 820 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

With the territorial reform of September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Venade and Azevedo were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Venade e Azevedo . Venade is the seat of this newly formed community.
