The Vendehø (Norwegian for reverse height ) is a sweeping and icy hill with several rocky outcrops in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Paulsen Mountains of Sverdrupfjella, these rise up immediately southeast of the Tverrveggen ridge .
The first aerial photos of the formation were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers made the naming and mapped them using aerial photographs and measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
