The Paulsenberg Mountains are a group of mountains in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . They rise up in the northern part of Sverdrupfjella . These include the peaks of Brattskarvet , Vendeholten and the Tverrveggen ridge .
The mountains were discovered and named during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . It is named after Karl-Heinz Paulsen (1909–1941), oceanographer on this research trip.
