The venture Dome (English for venture dome ) is a large and crevasses interspersed ice dome in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises 50 km south of the Tvitoppen .
Several teams that were inland from Mawson Station from 1957 sighted him, but avoided more detailed investigations. The first was John Manning, who set up a tellurometer station here in 1967 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . In 1968 the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia alluded to the risks Manning had taken when crossing the crevasses.
