Veolia Water is the holding company through which the French group Veolia Environnement operates its business activities in the field of water supply and waste disposal in 67 countries worldwide. Veolia Water emerges from the French Compagnie Générale des Eaux , which was founded in 1853.

According to its own information, Veolia Water supplies 100 million people and 40,000 industrial customers with drinking water . Veolia also disposes of the wastewater of 68 million people, making it the world market leader in the water sector.

Veolia Water has organizationally separate subsidiaries for: plant construction , pipe laying and equipment business ( Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies and Sade ), consulting and planning ( Seureca and Sétude ) as well as the joint subsidiaries: SEDE Environnement , Proxiserve and SIDEF .
