Vera Viktorovna Galuschka (known as Vera Breschnewa , Russian Вера Викторовна Галушка , Ukrainian Віра Вікторівна Галушка , Wira Wiktoriwna Haluschka ; * 3. February 1982 in Dniprodzerzhynsk , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian - Russian singer , actress and TV presenter .
life and career
Wera Brezhneva was born as the second daughter of Viktor Michailowitsch Galuschka and Tamara Vitalievna Permjakowa, a medical student. The parents worked in a chemical plant and lived in the city of Borispol , near the Ukrainian capital Kiev . The mother is Russian, the father of Ukrainian-Russian origin. Brezhneva has three siblings: Galina, Anastasia and Viktoria. She graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Railway Institute with a degree in economics .
In 2003, now officially under her stage name Wera Brezhneva, she became a member of the girl band Via Gra , succeeding the singer Alyona Vinnitskaya. She spent four years there. Then the singer started a solo career. The first single ( Ja ne igraju , dt . I don't play ; written by the Georgian singer Konstantin Meladze) was released in May 2008. The second single ( Nirvana ), which was released in October of the same year, received less attention.
In 2009 Brezhneva took part as an actress in the Russian-language romantic comedy Lyubow w Bolschom Gorode ( Love in the Big City ), and sang a song of the same name on the film's soundtrack. She also embodied the character of Katya in the second part of the comedy. As a result, also in the third part, which was released in 2013.
In 2010 Brezhneva sang the song Lyubov spasjot (dt. Love heals ), which reached the top of the charts in both Ukraine and Russia. Then the singer experienced her next success with the song Lepestkami sljos ( Eng . Petals of tears ) in a duet with the Moldovan singer Dan Balan . In November 2010 she brought out the debut solo album Lyubow spasjot . On December 4, 2010 she received a Golden Gramophone , an award from Russkoye Radio . In the following years she received this award several times.
In 2014 the artist was the United Nations ' special envoy . She campaigned for HIV-infected women in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Brezhneva founded the Lutsch Very Foundation (Russian Луч Веры ) for the treatment of children with cancer or blood disease.
From 2006 to 2012 the artist was married to Michail Kiperman; the Russian head of the supervisory board of Ukrtatnafta .
