Vera Dominke

Vera Dominke (born September 23, 1953 in Hildesheim ) was the President of the Oldenburg / Ostfriesland / Wilhelmshaven University of Applied Sciences from September 2006 to December 2008 . From 2002 to 2005 she was a member of the 15th German Bundestag for the CDU .

education and profession

Vera Dominke studied from 1972 to 1973 social economy and 1973-1978 Law . This was followed by a legal clerkship, which she completed in 1981 with the second state examination. She then worked in the public service for various authorities. From 1998 to 2000 she was President of the Oldenburg University of Applied Sciences . From 2000 to 2002 she was at the Ministry for Science and Culture in Lower Saxonyemployed. On December 13, 2005, she was elected President of the Oldenburg / Ostfriesland / Wilhelmshaven University of Applied Sciences by the academic senate. Vera Dominke took office on September 1, 2006, after she had meanwhile been President of the Lower Saxony School Inspectorate. On December 2nd, 2008, Dominke was voted out of office by the Senate of the Oldenburg / Ostfriesland / Wilhelmshaven University of Applied Sciences with a majority of three quarters of its members, thus proposing her dismissal. The University Council approved the Senate's resolution on December 19, 2008.

From 2002 to 2005 she was a member of the 15th German Bundestag as a representative of constituency 029 ( Delmenhorst - Wesermarsch - Oldenburg-Land )
