Vera Zingsem

Vera Zingsem (born April 30, 1954 in Mönchengladbach ) is a freelance author and lecturer .

Vera Zingsem first studied education , theology and religious studies in Neuss, Bonn, Tübingen and Jerusalem. During her studies and afterwards she lived in Israel for a long time . That is why it takes a large part of its narrative material. She is a freelance lecturer (inter alia from 1993 to 2011 at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Ludwigsburg ) as well as the author of numerous books and essays. a. deal with female mythology, symbolic language and spirituality or deal with the Palestine conflict in literary form. She has also written and published her own fairy tales. She lives in Tübingen and is a board member of the Baden-Württemberg Association of German Writers . She is a founding member and since 2010 on the board of PolyThea e. V. - Academy for female spirituality and post-patriarchal visions .

Her first successful youth novel is The Invitation to Jerusalem (Frankfurt 2001).

In October 2003 she received the Elle Hoffmann Prize from the Stuttgart GEDOK .

Vera Zingsem is the idea generator and co-founder of the first modern goddess temple in Germany, which was founded in 2015 in Tübingen.
