The Verband Österreichischer Philatelistenvereine (VÖPh) is the umbrella organization of around three hundred Austrian stamp collectors and philately associations and, together with Austrian Post, publisher of the only Austrian and Europe's highest-circulation specialist magazine for philately with the title "Die Briefmarken".

The association, founded on March 9, 1921, represents around 13,000 stamp collectors in around 300 working groups , sections, exchange offices and associations, as well as directly within the association. The association goals were u. a. the support in collecting philatelic material, the promotion of preoccupation with postal history and the publication of a philatelic journal.
Vienna International Postage Stamp Exhibition (WIPA)
Together with Austrian Post, the VÖPh was the organizer of this major philatelic event, last held in Vienna from September 18 to 21, 2008 .

The Austrian umbrella organization is a member of the FIP ( Fédération Internationale de Philatélie , based in Switzerland ) and of the FEPA ( Federation of European Philatelic Associations , based in Denmark ).
