Verena Fuchsberger-Staufer

Verena Fuchsberger-Staufer (* 1983 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian social scientist and computer scientist.

Life

Verena Fuchsberger-Staufer studied education in Salzburg and Innsbruck from 2002 to 2007 and then psychology in Innsbruck from 2008 to 2013 . She completed both studies with a master's degree. In 2014 she did her doctorate at the University of Salzburg with the title Interrelating materials, artifacts, interaction designers, and users on the subject of human-computer interaction .

In 2018, Fuchsberger-Staufer was awarded the first-ever Hedy Lamarr Prize for her exceptional achievements in the field of information technology .

Fuchsberger-Staufer conducts research at the Center for Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Salzburg on the opportunities and risks of the merging of humans and machines.
