Verena Sudek

Verena Sudek , (born in the 20th century ) is a former German hockey player .

Career

Verena Sudek comes from Hamburg . Since she was interested in hockey at an early age, she became a member of the Harvestehuder THC . Because of her good performance, she soon played in the first women's team of the HTC, with which she was successfully used at the national championships for the German championship in field hockey. With the Harvestehuder HTC she won the German championship in field hockey four times, for the first time in 1957, then also in 1958, 1959 and 1960. Verena Sudek was also used internationally due to her good club performances. From 1958 to 1962 she played 16 times for Germany in the German national field hockey team.

Federal President Heinrich Lübke awarded a number of German national hockey players with the Silver Laurel Leaf on March 3, 1962 . In addition to Jutta Röchling , Hannelore Blumenberg and Bärbel Aichinger , Verena Sudek was one of these award winners.
