Irene Fleiss

Irene Fleiss (born on May 16, 1958 ; died on April 4, 2008 in Vienna ) was an Austrian gender researcher and writer.

Life

She was known as a feminist activist, lecturer, and reviewer of feminist literature. The main work of the matriarchy researcher is the matriarchy story When All People Were Sisters, which appeared in two volumes in 2006 and 2007 .

In addition to her gender studies, Fleiss was also a fiction writer, especially in the field of fantasy . The first novel The Bodyguard and the Magician , published in 1984, is a fantasy novel that tells the story of the bodyguard Aleme, who is supposed to protect the magician Calar on a long journey from the deep south to the far north, and of the adventures they both experience . From 2001, Fleiss also published a number of novels and volumes of short stories in self-publishing.

Fleiss died in Vienna in 2008, shortly before her 50th birthday, two weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
