Maria Giner

Maria Giner (born October 26, 1922 in Thaur ; † January 30, 2018 ) was an Austrian politician for the Tyrolean People's Party .

She was the first woman in the Tyrolean state parliament , to which she belonged from 1975 to 1989. Giner was a member of the state parliament for 14 years and during this time has been very active for the rural population and especially for the women.

From 1980 to 1988 she was also the regional director of the ÖVP women in Tyrol.

She was awarded the Cross of Merit and the Medal of Honor of the State of Tyrol .
