from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (IX legislative period) lists all members of the Tyrolean state parliament in the IX. Legislative period from October 23, 1979 to July 10, 1984. After the regional elections in 1979 , the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) still had 24 of the 36 members of parliament. The second largest parliamentary group in the state parliament remained the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ), which had ten members and had lost one mandate compared to the previous period. In addition, the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) was represented by two members in the state parliament, whereby it had won a mandate from the state elections in 1975.

After the deputies were sworn in on October 23, 1979, the members of the state parliament elected the members of the Wallnöfer V state government on the same day . The legislative period ended with the inauguration of the members of the X legislative period on July 10, 1984.

Functions

Landtag President

In the constituent meeting, Josef Thoman (ÖVP) was elected as the new President of the State Parliament after the long-time President of the State Parliament, Alois Lugger (ÖVP), left office at the end of the previous period. Thoman was elected with 34 of 36 votes, with two ballot papers remaining blank. The previous 1st Vice-President Adolf Troppmair (ÖVP) had also left office at the end of the term, he was succeeded by Erich Berktold (ÖVP) as the new 1st Vice-President, where he was elected with 32 of 36 votes and four empty ballots. In contrast to his ÖVP colleagues, Adolf Lettenbichler (SPÖ) remained in office as 2nd Vice President and was re-elected with 29 of 36 votes, with seven ballot papers remaining blank.

Club chairmen

The members of the ÖVP formed the “ÖVP-Landtag Club ” in the constituent session, with Governor Eduard Wallnöfer again taking over the role of club chairman and Josef Thomann and Franz Kranebitter being elected as his new deputies. The SPÖ members formed the “Club of Socialist Members of the Tyrolean Parliament” and elected Hans Tanzer as their new club chairman and Adolf Lettenbichler as his deputy. Siegfried Dillersberger initially formed the “Freedom State Parliament Club” alone, and he was the only member of this club to take on the role of club chairman. After a mandate had migrated from the ÖVP to the FPÖ as a result of the by-election, Hermann Eigenler took over the role of club chairman from October 1980 while Dillersberger now acted as his deputy.
