State government Wallnöfer V

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The state government Wallnöfer V formed the Tyrolean state government during the IX. Legislative period under Governor Eduard Wallnöfer between October 23, 1979 and July 10, 1984.

After the state elections in 1979 , the size of the government team remained unchanged with eight members. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) provided six members of the government unchanged, with the right to the governor, a deputy governor and four provincial councilors. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) was also represented in the state government by a deputy governor due to the proportional representation system, and the SPÖ also provided a state councilor. Compared to the previous government, the Wallnöfer IV state government , there were only changes in the SPÖ. The previous Deputy Governor Herbert Salcher had left the government team, whereupon the previous Regional Councilor Ernst Fili took over his position. Friedrich Greiderer was subsequently sworn in as the new regional councilor .

While Governor Wallnöfer was elected with 29 of the 36 possible votes, with seven invalid votes, the election of the remaining members of the government took place according to the proportional representation system through the written nomination of the government members by the two state parliament clubs of the ÖVP and SPÖ.
