State government Grauss II

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The state government Grauss II formed the Tyrolean state government during the IIII. Legislative period . The state government under Governor Alois Grauss was elected on November 24, 1953 and held office until November 12, 1957.

In the state elections in 1953, the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) originally acquired five of the seven seats in government, including the governor, a deputy governor and three state councilors. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) was also represented in the provincial government by a deputy governor due to the proportional representation system, while the electoral party of the Independent provided a provincial councilor.

While Governor Grauss was elected with 33 of the 36 possible votes (with two blank votes and one vote for Hans Gamper ), the election of the remaining members of the government took place according to proportional representation through the written nomination of the government members by the two state parliament clubs of the ÖVP and SPÖ. After the Constitutional Court had declared voices of the ÖVP to be invalid in 1954, a seat of government moved from the ÖVP to the Association of Workers, Employees and Officials (AAB) affiliated with the ÖVP , so that Alois Lugger (ÖVP) left the city on May 25, 1954 Government had to leave. On the same day, the former ÖVP governor's deputy, Hans Gamper (now AAB), succeeded him as a state councilor in the government.
