State government Wallnöfer IV

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The provincial government Wallnöfer IV formed the Tyrolean provincial government during the eighth legislative period under Governor Eduard Wallnöfer between July 1, 1975 and October 23, 1979.

After the state elections in 1975 , the government team was increased from seven to eight members. This led to the fact that the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) again had one more government member and six of the eight members of the government, with the right to the governor, a deputy governor and four provincial councilors. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) was also represented in the state government by a deputy governor due to the proportional representation system, and the SPÖ also provided a state councilor. Compared to the previous government, the Wallnöfer III state government , there were changes in three positions. Ernst Fili (SPÖ) replaced his party colleague Rupert Zechtl as member of the state council. At the ÖVP, Karl Erlacher was no longer a member of the government, but Christian Huber and Fridolin Zanon were new members of the government.

While governor Wallnöfer was elected with 34 of the 36 possible votes, with one invalid and one "no" vote, the election of the remaining members of the government took place according to proportional representation through the written nomination of the government members by the two state parliament clubs of the ÖVP and the SPÖ.
