State election in Tyrol 1975
The regional elections in Tyrol in 1975 took place on June 8, 1975. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) was able to achieve slight profits and won a mandate from the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) in addition to its previous 23 mandates , which achieved 11 seats. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) remained almost unchanged and was able to hold its only mandate. The Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) recorded slight gains, but failed as before when it entered the state parliament.
In 1975 352,748 people were entitled to vote in the state elections, which meant an increase in the number of people entitled to vote by 17,499 people. The voter turnout had also fallen slightly compared to 1975 from 92.34% to 91.80%.
