1925

Distribution of mandates in the South Tyrolean parliament from 1925–1929

A total of 40 seats

The regional elections in Tyrol in 1925 took place on April 26, 1925 and again led to a clear victory for the Tyrolean People's Party (TVP). However, due to the split of the Independent Christian-German Tyrolean Working Group from the People's Party, it lost 4.7% of the vote and lost its two-thirds majority in the state parliament with regard to the distribution of mandates. The TVP subsequently had two fewer mandataries than before, with 25 out of 40 mandates. The Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria also lost 1.4% of the votes, but was able to hold its 8 mandates as well as the Greater German People's Party (GDVP), which lost 0.5% of the vote and again achieved 4 mandates. The independent Christian-German Tyrolean working group achieved 3 mandates when it first appeared and clearly moved into the state parliament. The German National Socialist Workers' Party (DNSAP), however, missed this entry , which achieved slight gains, but with 2.1% clearly failed because of the leap into the state parliament.
