List of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (IV legislative period)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (IV. Legislative period) lists all the members of the Tyrolean state parliament in the IV. Legislative period from November 12, 1957 to November 7, 1961. After the state elections in 1957 , the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) had 23 members. Furthermore, the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) was represented by eleven members in the state parliament, whereby it was able to win two seats compared to the state elections. Instead of the electoral party of the Independents , which had won four seats in 1953, the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) was represented as a further party from 1957 , which, however, had only won two instead of four seats compared to its predecessor organization.

After the deputies were sworn in on November 12, 1957, the members of the state parliament elected the members of the Tschiggfrey I state government . The legislative period ended with the inauguration of the members of the fifth legislative period on November 7, 1961.

Functions

Landtag President

In the constituent meeting, the ÖVP politician Johann Obermoser was re-elected President of the State Parliament , who received 35 of 36 votes (another was cast empty). Karl Erlacher (ÖVP) was newly elected to the office of 1st Vice President , who received 32 of 36 votes. Franz Kröll and Karl Kunst had one vote each ; two ballot papers remained blank. Karl Kunst (SPÖ), who received 30 of 36 votes, was also newly elected to the office of 2nd Vice President. Two more votes went to Josef Gänsinger , one to Franz Hüttenberger , another three votes remained empty.

Club stewards

After the deputies were sworn in, the members of the ÖVP formed the ÖVP state parliament club, with Johann Obermoser re-elected as club chairman and Albin Oberhofer again as his deputy. Deputy Alois Lugger joined Obermoser's additional deputy in the fourth legislative period . As in the III. Legislative period Franz Hüttenberger as club chairman, his deputy was again Alois Heinz . After Hüttenberger left in September 1959, Karl Kunst was elected as his successor as club chairman, and Walther Gerstenbräun was appointed as the new club chairman . After Gerstenbräun also left the state parliament in November 1960, Anton Wieser became the new club chairman's deputy. Due to the small number of seats, the MPs of the FPÖ could not form a club and therefore did not have a club chairman.
