This list of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (III. Legislative period) lists all members of the Tyrolean state parliament in the III. Legislative period from November 24, 1953 to November 12, 1957. After the state elections in 1953 , the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) initially had 21 members, and the Association of Workers, Employees and Officials (AAB) , which was linked to it through lists , had won two seats. After the Constitutional Court had declared 151 votes to be invalid in 1954, a mandate was transferred from the ÖVP to the AAB. Furthermore, the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) was represented by nine members in the state parliament, on theElectoral party of the Independents lost three seats. In addition, the electoral community " Non- Party People's Representatives" (PVV), which had entered into a list link with the WdU, provided a representative.

After the swearing-in of MPs on 24 November 1953, the Members of Parliament elected the members of the state government Grauß I . The legislative period ended with the inauguration of the members of the fourth legislative period on November 12, 1957.

Functions

Landtag President

In the constituent meeting, the ÖVP politician Johann Obermoser was elected President of the State Parliament, who received 32 of 36 votes (four others were empty). In addition, Franz Kröll (ÖVP) was elected 1st Vice President with the same election result, Josef Wilberger (SPÖ) received 31 votes in his election as 2nd Vice President, whereby five ballot papers remained empty.

Club stewards

After the deputies were sworn in, the members of the ÖVP formed the ÖVP state parliament club, with Johann Obermoser as club chairman and Albin Oberhofer as his deputy. The SPÖ members of the state parliament formed the “Club of Socialist Members of the Tyrolean Parliament” and elected Franz Hüttenberger as club chairman, Alois Heinz became his deputy . The three MPs from the WdU and the MP from the PVV joined forces to form the “Klub der WdU”, with Hermann Egger taking over the role of club chairman and Josef Rieder being elected as his deputy. AAB MPs Stefan Zechner and Hans Gamper as well as Anton Gsaller , who was drafted via the ÖVP list, formed the "Club of the Austrian Workers ', Employees and Officials' Association", with Gamper acting as parliamentary leader and Zechner being his deputy.
