List of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (XIth legislative period)
This list of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (XI. Legislative period) lists all members of the Tyrolean state parliament in the XI. Legislative period from April 4, 1989 to April 5, 1994. After the state elections in 1989 , the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) only had 19 of the 36 members, although it lost six seats in the 1985 state elections . The second largest parliamentary group in the state parliament remained the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ), which was able to hold its nine members. In addition, the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) was represented with five mandates, whereby it won three mandates. In addition, Die Grünen Tirol (GRÜNE) were able to move into the state parliament for the first time with two mandataries.
After the swearing-in of MPs on April 4, 1989, the Members of Parliament elected the members of the same day state government Partl II , by the on 24 September 1993 state government Weingartner I was replaced. The legislative period ended with the inauguration of the members of the XII. Parliamentary term on April 5, 1994.
Functions
Landtag President
In the constituent meeting, Carl Reissigl (ÖVP) was elected as the new President of the State Parliament, replacing Josef Thoman (ÖVP). Reissigl was elected with 32 out of 36 votes, with one ballot slip remaining invalid and three MPs voting “no”. Even Kurt Leitl (ÖVP) was new to the post of first vice-president, and he in turn Erich Berktold replaced (ÖVP). Leitl received 29 of 36 votes, with five MPs voting “No” against Leitl and two votes being invalid. Walter Kantner (SPÖ) replaced Hans Tanzer (SPÖ) in the office of 2nd Vice President , and was elected with 31 out of 36 votes. In Kantner's election, four “no” votes and an empty ballot were cast.
Club chairmen
After the election, the SPÖ members formed the “Club of Socialist Members of the Tyrolean Parliament” and elected Alfons Kaufmann as their club chairman and Walter Lenzi and Günter Bussjäger as his deputies. Johannes Lugger again took on the role of club chairman in the “Freedom State Parliament Club”, with Michael Passer becoming his deputy. The MPs of the Greens formed the "Green Landtag Club ", with Eva Lichtenberger being elected the first club chairwoman of the Tyrolean Landtag. Her deputy was Franz Klug .
