State government Partl II

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The provincial government Partl II formed the Tyrolean provincial government during the XI. Legislative period under Governor Alois Partl of the swearing Partls April 4, 1989 until his resignation on 24 September 1993 or made on that day swearing-in of state government Weingartner I .

After the state elections in 1989 , the size of the government team remained unchanged with eight members, but the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) suffered heavy losses. Despite the fact that the ÖVP had lost an absolute majority of the votes, it was able to hold the absolute majority in the state government and the majority in the state government. However, she had to hand over a seat of government to the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) and only provided five of the eight government members, with the claim to the governor, a deputy governor and three provincial councilors. The FPÖ, on the other hand, was represented for the first time in the state government with a state council due to its strong profits. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) was also represented in the state government by a deputy governor due to the proportional representation system, and the SPÖ also provided a state councilor.

Compared to the previous Part I government , there were changes in several areas. The First Deputy Governor Fritz Prior (ÖVP) was no longer a member of the government, as were the ÖVP regional councilors, Christian Huber , Franz Kranebitter and Fridolin Zanon . In return, Helmut Mader moved into the government as Deputy Governor, and Friedrich Astl , Ferdinand Eberle and Wendelin Weingartner were sworn in as new ÖVP State Councilors . Hermann Eigenler was elected as the first FPÖ regional councilor in a Tyrolean regional government .

Election of government members

In the election of the government members 36 votes were cast, whereby Governor Partl received 33 votes, Governor Deputy Mader (ÖVP) received 31 and Deputy Governor Hans Tanzer (SPÖ) received 28 votes. The remaining votes were “No”. In the election of the regional councils, Friedrich Astl received 27 votes, Ferdinand Eberle 25 votes, Wendelin Weingartner 29 votes, Friedrich Greiderer 32 votes and Hermann Eigenler 26 votes.

Eigenler resigned from his position on July 4, 1991 and was replaced on the same day by Johannes Lugger , who was elected with 25 of 36 votes. In addition, one vote was left blank, ten votes were "No". On the same day, Walter Hengl (SPÖ) also replaced Provincial Councilor Friedrich Greiderer , with Hengl receiving 27 of 36 votes, with nine “no” votes.
