State government Weißgatterer I
The Weißgatterer I formed the first elected Tyrolean state government after the Second World War during the first legislative period . The state government under Governor Alfons Weißgatterer was elected on December 11, 1945 and held office until October 25, 1949.
The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) had achieved a two-thirds majority in the state elections in 1945 with 69.8%. As a result, she acquired the right to six of the eight seats in government, with the ÖVP providing the governor, a deputy governor and four regional councilors. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) was also represented by a deputy governor and a provincial council due to the proportional representation system.
