State election in Tyrol 1945
The state election in Tyrol in 1945 took place on November 25, 1945 and was the first state election in Tyrol after the Second World War . The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) won more than two thirds of the votes and received 26 of the 36 seats. The Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) won 10 seats, while the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ), as the third candidate party, failed to enter the state parliament.
In 1945 178,109 people were eligible to vote in the state elections. The turnout was 87.89%.
