The regional elections in Tyrol in 1929 took place on April 28, 1929 and again led to a clear victory for the Tyrolean People's Party (TVP). The People's Party was able to gain a slight share of the vote and was able to increase its mandate from 25 to 26 seats. The Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria also gained slight votes and was able to increase its mandate from 8 to 9 seats. Due to the economic problems, there was a strong fragmentation of the party landscape, which especially damaged the Greater German People's Party (GDVP). The GDVP lost around half of its share of the vote and two of its four mandates so far. The Tyrolean Citizens' League of Estates profited most from this , for which leading personalities of the Greater German People's Party have run and which immediately won 3 mandates. Politicians from the GDVP also ran on the list of the Austrian Employees ' Party, but the Employees' Party clearly failed to make it into the state parliament with around 2% of the votes. All other lists also failed when they entered the state parliament.
